Description and indications:

COLKUM® Oral, is Colistin sulfate, a polypeptide antibiotic with a specific action spectrum, which can be combined in multiple therapies, as in the case of joint therapies with tylosin, sulfanilamides, tetracyclines. All this in order to expand the range of activity.

COLKUM® Oral is indicated for the treatment and prevention of Chronic Respiratory Disease, Colibacillosis, Pasteurellosis, Mycoplasmosis, Infectious coryza, enteritis in birds and diarrhea associated with enterobacteria in piglets.

Route of Administration and dosage:

BASIC:
Healing Birds : 300 ml of COLKUM® Oral per 1,000 Kg of bw in drinking water or 2 to 4 ml of COLKUM® Oral per liter of drinking water, for 4 to 5 days.
Preventive: 150 ml of COLKUM® Oral per 1,000 Kg of bw in drinking water or 1 to 2 ml of COLKUM® Oral per liter of drinking water, for 3 days.
BASIC:
Curative piglets: 1 ml of COLKUM® Oral for every 5 Kg bw orally.
Poultry (fattening, layers):
Indications:
Chronic Respiratory Disease (CKD), Colibacillosis, Pasteurellosis, Mycoplasmosis, Infectious Coryza and Enteritis.
Dosage:
Curative:
Curative: 300 ml of COLKUM® Oral per 1,000 Kg of bw in drinking water or 2 to 4 ml of COLKUM® Oral per liter of drinking water, for 4 to 5 days.
Preventive:
150 ml of COLKUM® Oral per 1,000 Kg of bw for 4 to 5 days in drinking water.
Pigs (piglets):
Indications:
Diarrhea associated with enteric diseases.
Dose:
1 ml of COLKUM® Oral for every 5 Kg of bw orally.
